Day-wise Itinerary

Day1

Day 1: Delhi to Shimla – Arrival & Local Sightseeing

Shimla

Morning: Depart from Delhi
- Leave by 6:00 AM for a road trip or opt for a train (Shatabdi Express) to Kalka and then the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train.
- Road trip takes 7-8 hours, covering 350-370 km. Breaks can be taken at Solan or Kalka.
Afternoon: Arrival in Shimla
- Check-in at the hotel (Willow Banks, Oberoi Cecil, or similar).
- Lunch at a local restaurant or hotel (try Himachali dishes like Siddu, Chana Madra).
Evening: Mall Road & The Ridge
- Explore Mall Road, shopping and strolling through handicraft stalls.
- Visit The Ridge for views, Christ Church, Scandal Point, and Gaiety Theatre.
Dinner:
- Have dinner at Café Shimla Times, Indian Coffee House, or a local restaurant.

Day2

Day 2: Shimla Sightseeing & Adventure

Shimla

Morning: Jakhoo Temple
- Visit Jakhoo Temple (highest point in Shimla, 2,455 meters). Hike or take a cab up the hill for panoramic views.
- On the way down, stop at Lakkar Bazaar for wooden handicrafts and souvenirs.
Late Morning: Shimla State Museum
- Visit Shimla State Museum for exhibits on Himachali culture, history, and art.
Lunch:
- Lunch at Café Sol or Oberoi Cecil for a relaxed meal with scenic views.
Afternoon: Kufri or Fagu
- Kufri (16 km from Shimla): Visit Kufri Fun World for skiing, tobogganing, and adventure activities.
- Alternatively, visit Fagu (23 km from Shimla) for apple orchards and a peaceful environment.
Evening: Summer Hill

Day3

Day 3: Last Exploration & Return to Delhi

Morning: Naldehra or Mashobra
- Visit Naldehra (22 km from Shimla) for the golf course and natural beauty or head to Mashobra (12 km from Shimla) for apple orchards and tranquility.
Late Morning: Head Back to Shimla
- Return to Shimla for last-minute shopping or relax in your hotel.
Lunch:
- Lunch at Café Sol or any favorite local restaurant.
Afternoon: Departure
- Leave Shimla by 2:00-3:00 PM for the return journey to Delhi. The drive takes 7-8 hours.
- Alternatively, take a Volvo bus or Kalka-Shimla Toy Train (via Kalka) and Shatabdi Express to Delhi.
Evening: Travel Back to Delhi
- Reach Delhi by late evening (11:00 PM - 12:00 AM) if by car or Volvo bus. If by train, expect early morning arrival (around 4:00-5:00 AM).
