Day1

Pune to Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga

Day 1: Pune to Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga

Distance: ~110 km (3-4 hours by road)
Morning: Depart from Pune early in the morning to avoid traffic and ensure a smooth drive. Reach Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, nestled in the lush green Sahyadri Hills, by mid-morning. Darshan at the Bhimashankar Temple, a sacred shrine of Lord Shiva, famous for its beautiful surroundings and ancient architecture.
Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a local eatery nearby. Post lunch, explore the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for its biodiversity and trekking trails (optional).
Evening: Visit the scenic Hanuman Lake and Gupt Bhimashankar (a hidden and lesser-known temple for Lord Shiva). Overnight stay at a guesthouse or resort near Bhimashankar.

Day2

Bhimashankar to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

Nashik

Day 2: Bhimashankar to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

Distance: ~195 km (5-6 hours by road)
Morning: After an early breakfast, drive towards Trimbakeshwar in Nashik. Stop en route for a brief visit to Anjaneri Hills (believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman) if time permits.
Afternoon: Arrive in Trimbakeshwar and visit the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, one of the most revered Jyotirlingas, featuring a unique three-faced deity representing Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Explore the Kushavarta Kund, the source of the holy Godavari River, located near the temple.
Evening: Relax in the peaceful surroundings or explore the Gangadwar and Brahmagiri Hills, known for spiritual significance and trekking trails. Overnight stay at a hotel in Nashik.

Day3

Trimbakeshwar to Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga

Day 3: Trimbakeshwar to Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga

Distance: ~180 km (4-5 hours by road)
Morning: After breakfast, start your journey to Grishneshwar near Aurangabad. On the way, make a brief stop at Nashik’s Panchavati area, known for its connection with Lord Rama\'s exile, and visit Ramkund and Sita Gufa.
Afternoon: Reach Ellora and visit the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, which is situated next to the Ellora Caves. The temple has intricate carvings and is an architectural marvel. After darshan, explore the Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The caves include 34 rock-cut temples, most famous for the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), a monolithic structure dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Evening: Visit Aurangabad Caves (optional), which are lesser-known but hold historical and spiritual significance. Overnight stay at a hotel in Aurangabad.

Day4

Return to Pune

Day 4: Return to Pune (via Ahmednagar)

Distance: ~230 km (5-6 hours by road)
Morning: After breakfast, start your return journey towards Pune. En route, stop at Shani Shingnapur (optional), a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shani (Saturn), known for its open-air shrine where the deity is worshipped without a roof.
Afternoon: Continue your journey to Pune, passing through Ahmednagar. If time permits, visit Ahmednagar Fort for a quick exploration.
Evening: Arrive in Pune by late afternoon or evening, marking the end of the Jyotirlinga pilgrimage.
