Itinerary

Day 1
Haridwar To Chopta

Accommodation: Chopta

Day 1 – Haridwar to Chopta (Approx. 225 km / 7–8 hrs drive)

Morning: Pickup from Haridwar Railway Station or Hotel after early breakfast. Drive along the scenic Alaknanda valley with enchanting views of Garhwal hills. En route visit Devprayag (confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda), Srinagar Dam, and Rudraprayag (confluence of Mandakini & Alaknanda).

Afternoon: Continue driving through lush forests via Kund and Ukhimath. Lunch at a local Garhwali dhaba. Proceed to Chopta, known as the Mini Switzerland of India.

Evening: Arrive Chopta by 6:00 PM, check in to camp/hotel, enjoy sunset views, bonfire, and dinner.

Overnight Stay: Chopta.

Highlights: Scenic drive, confluences, meadows, and peaceful mountain evening.

Day 2
Chopta To Badrinath

Accommodation: Badrinath

Day 2 – Chopta to Badrinath (Approx. 155 km / 6–7 hrs)

Early Morning: After breakfast, begin the trek to Tungnath Temple (4 km one way), the highest Shiva temple in the world. Optionally continue 1 km further to Chandrashila Peak (4,000 m) for panoramic Himalayan views.

Afternoon: Descend back to Chopta, have lunch, and depart for Badrinath via Gopeshwar, Chamoli, Pipalkoti, and Joshimath. Enjoy spectacular Alaknanda valley views.

Evening: Arrive Badrinath by 7–8 PM. Visit the sacred Badrinath Temple for evening Aarti if time permits and explore the local market.

Overnight Stay: Badrinath.

Highlights: Tungnath trek, Chandrashila peak, scenic drive, and temple darshan.

Day 3
Badrinath Local Sightseeing(Joshimath)

Accommodation: Joshimath

Day 3 – Badrinath to Joshimath (Approx. 45 km / 2 hrs)

Morning: Early temple darshan at Badrinath. Take a dip at Tapt Kund and visit Brahma Kapal, Narad Kund, Sheshnetra, and Charan Paduka. Explore sacred surroundings.

Late Morning: Proceed 3 km ahead to Mana Village, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibet border. Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Bheem Pul across the Saraswati River.

Afternoon: Depart Badrinath for Joshimath via Govindghat and Hanuman Chatti with scenic views along Alaknanda River.

Evening: Arrive Joshimath, check in to hotel, visit Narsingh Temple (winter seat of Badrinath), and local market.

Overnight Stay: Joshimath.

Highlights: Badrinath darshan, Mana village, Bheem Pul, and Narsingh Temple.

Day 4
Joshimath -> Auli

Accommodation: Auli

Day 4 – Joshimath to Auli (Approx. 12 km / 30 min)

Morning: After breakfast, proceed to Auli via ropeway or road. Enjoy magnificent views of Nanda Devi and Neelkanth peaks.

Afternoon: Explore skiing slopes (seasonal), chair lift to Auli top, and walk to Auli Artificial Lake. Experience peaceful alpine beauty.

Evening: Watch the sunset over snow-clad peaks, relax at resort with dinner and bonfire.

Overnight Stay: Auli.

Highlights: Ropeway ride, Himalayan panoramas, artificial lake, and alpine adventure.

Day 5
Auli To Haridwar

Accommodation: Drop Only

Day 5 – Auli to Haridwar (Approx. 280 km / 9–10 hrs)

Morning: After breakfast, begin return journey to Haridwar through Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. Stop for lunch en route and enjoy riverside views.

Afternoon: Continue descending towards Rishikesh and Haridwar with scenic Himalayan valleys and villages along the route.

Evening: Arrive Haridwar by evening. Optional visit to Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti before concluding the trip.

Trip Ends: Return with blessings of Lord Badrinath and memories of Himalayas.
