Day-by-Day Itinerary
Delhi → Haridwar
🌄 DAY 1 – Delhi → Haridwar
Distance: ~220 km | Drive Time: 6–7 Hours
Early morning departure from Delhi towards Haridwar, the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra.
🔹 Haridwar Sightseeing
• Har Ki Pauri – sacred Ganga ghats
• Mansa Devi Temple
• Chandi Devi Temple
• Bharat Mata Mandir / local ashrams
In the evening, attend the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a spiritually uplifting experience marking the start of your yatra.
🛏 Overnight Stay: Haridwar
Haridwar → Sonprayag
🏔️ DAY 2 – Haridwar → Sonprayag
Distance: ~290 km | Drive Time: 10–11 Hours
After breakfast, begin the scenic mountain drive.
🔹 En-Route Sightseeing
• Drive towards Mussoorie
• Halt at Kempty Falls for refreshment
Continue the journey via:
Rishikesh → Devprayag → Rudraprayag → Ukhimath
🔹 Temple Visit
• Dhari Devi Temple – a revered Shakti Peeth protecting the Char Dham region
Arrival at Sonprayag by late evening. Dinner and rest to prepare for Kedarnath trek.
🛏 Overnight Stay: Sonprayag
Sonprayag → Kedarnath
🕉️ DAY 3 – Sonprayag → Gaurikund (by Shuttle) → Kedarnath
Trek Distance: 18 km (One Way)
• Early morning Sonprayag → Gaurikund transfer by government-approved shuttle service
• Begin the sacred 18 km trek to Kedarnath Dham
Options available (at own cost):
• Trek by foot
• Pony / Doli
• Helicopter (subject to weather & availability)
On arrival, proceed for Kedarnath Temple Darshan, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, followed by evening Aarti.
🛏 Overnight Stay: Kedarnath
Kedarnath → Sonprayag
🔱 DAY 4 – Kedarnath → Sonprayag
• Early morning Kedarnath Darshan & Abhishek
• Trek down to Gaurikund
🔹 Sacred Temple Visits
• Triyoginarayan Temple – divine wedding site of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati
➤ Temple visit by shuttle as per local administration
• Ukhimath Temple – winter seat of Kedarnath & Omkareshwar Mahadev
Return to Sonprayag for rest and recovery.
🛏 Overnight Stay: Sonprayag
Sonprayag → Tungnath
🌿 DAY 5 – Sonprayag → Chopta → Tungnath
Drive: ~45 km | Trek: 3.5 km (One Way)
After breakfast, drive to Chopta, also known as Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.
🔹 Tungnath Trek
• Trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world
• Part of the sacred Panch Kedar circuit
Optional (subject to weather & fitness):
• Trek further to Chandrashila Peak for panoramic Himalayan views
Return to Chopta and enjoy peaceful alpine surroundings.
🛏 Overnight Stay: Chopta
Chopta → Delhi Drop
🌊 DAY 6 – Chopta → Rishikesh Sightseeing → Delhi Drop
Distance: ~450 km | Drive Time: 12–13 Hours
After breakfast, begin the return journey.
🔹 Rishikesh Sightseeing (Included)
• Ram Jhula
• Laxman Jhula
• Parmarth Niketan Ashram
• Ganga Aarti (if time permitting)
Continue drive to Haridwar and further to Delhi.
Late evening / night drop at Delhi, concluding the sacred Kedarnath & Tungnath Yatra.
